About the event

The play "Ahiko from Aktas" is about the fate of Japanese who became a victim of Karlag in Soviet times. All his youth passed here. Freed, he settled in Aktas and only thanks to the care of his Kazakh mother survived and returned to life. Years later, he went to his historical homeland, but returned to Kazakhstan.

The fate of Ahiko Tetsuro is the fate of thousands of people of different nationalities, victims of political repression, who were deported to Kazakhstan in the dark years of Stalin.

The performance calls not only Kazakhstanis, but also other countries, peoples to unity, solidarity and harmony in the world and is dedicated to the 25th anniversary of the country's independence.
